Advent, Week 1
Speaker : Maury Brenneman
Waiting with Expectation
The message emphasized that Advent is a season of expectancy, calling believers to wait with confidence rather than uncertainty. God’s promises are sure, and His plans are always unfolding even when fulfillment seems delayed.
Through Scripture and reflection, the congregation was encouraged to trust God fully and remain faithful during seasons of waiting.
Peace Rooted in God’s Faithfulness
A key focus of the message was the peace that comes from trusting God. This peace is not dependent on circumstances, but on the unchanging character of the Lord. Advent Week 2 reminded listeners that true peace is found in surrendering control and resting in God’s promises.
As believers fix their eyes on Jesus, they are invited to experience peace that steadies the heart and strengthens faith.
Preparing Our Hearts for Christ
The message also challenged the church to prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ. Advent preparation goes beyond traditions and celebrations it calls for reflection, repentance, and a renewed commitment to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
This preparation creates space for God to move and work deeply within His people.
Living with Advent Hope
The service concluded with a reminder that Advent hope is meant to shape daily life. As followers of Christ, believers are called to live with trust, patience, and joy reflecting the light of Jesus to a waiting world.
Advent, Week 2 encouraged the church to embrace the season with faith, peace, and confident hope in God’s unfailing promises.
