Advent, Week 3

Speaker : Craig Martin

Topic : Christmas

The Meaning of Advent

Advent is a season of expectation—remembering God’s promises and anticipating their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. This message reminded the church that Advent is not only about looking back at Christ’s first coming, but also about preparing our hearts for His presence in our lives today.

Through Scripture and reflection, the congregation was encouraged to live with awareness, faith, and trust in God’s perfect timing.

Christmas: God’s Promise Fulfilled

The message centered on the truth that Christmas is the fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Savior. Jesus came not in power or status, but in humility—born to bring light into darkness, peace into brokenness, and hope into the world.

This reminder called believers to move beyond the busyness of the season and refocus on Christ as the true center of Christmas.

Preparing Our Hearts

As Advent Week 3 focused on preparation, the message challenged listeners to examine their hearts and make room for Jesus. Preparing for Christmas means more than decorations and traditions—it means surrender, obedience, and a willingness to welcome Christ fully.

The message encouraged intentional time with God through prayer, Scripture, and worship during the Advent season.

Living the Hope of Christmas

The service concluded with a reminder that the hope of Christmas is not limited to one day. Jesus’ coming changes how believers live, love, and serve every day. As followers of Christ, we are called to carry His light into the world and reflect His love to others.

This Advent message invited the church to embrace the season with joy, expectancy, and a renewed focus on Jesus Christ—the greatest gift of all.
