The Shepherd and the Sheep

Speaker : Craig Martin

Topic : Trust

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

A Shepherd Who Sees

Jesus sees beyond appearances. He understands the fears, burdens, and struggles that weigh on His people. His compassion is not passive—it moves Him to act, guide, and restore. Unlike the leaders of the world, Jesus leads with humility and love.

This reminds us that we are never invisible to Him.

Sheep in Need of Guidance

Sheep are vulnerable on their own. Without a shepherd, they wander, become anxious, and are easily led astray. In the same way, when we attempt to live apart from Christ’s guidance, we lose direction and peace.

This message challenges us to acknowledge our need for the Shepherd and to depend fully on His leadership.

Learning to Trust His Voice

Trust grows as we learn to recognize the Shepherd’s voice. Through Scripture, prayer, and obedience, Jesus speaks truth and direction into our lives. Following Him requires surrender, but it also brings safety and clarity.

The more we trust His voice, the more confidently we can walk in faith.

Protected and Cared For

Jesus does not abandon His sheep in times of trouble. He protects, corrects, and comforts them. Even when the path is difficult, the Shepherd remains close, guiding each step with patience and care.

This message reassures believers that they are secure in His hands.

Resting in the Shepherd’s Care

True trust allows us to rest. When we place our lives in the hands of Jesus, we no longer have to carry every burden alone. He leads us beside still waters and restores our souls.

As we trust the Shepherd, we discover peace, direction, and hope—even in uncertain seasons.
